OVERVIEW

 

A Planning Scheduling SME is required to support Ministry of Defence activities.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Scope / Task Deliverables

 

  • Leads planning / scheduling effort for new baselines
  • Lead schedulers to conduct analysis of supplier schedules and scheduling processes
  • Liaise with suppliers to establish robust interface and reporting
  • Interrogate supplier data to understand status and forecast
  • Ensures baselines are maintained under change control
  • Monthly reporting
  • Supervise and guide the conduct of schedule risk analysis
  • Supports development of scheduling standards and procedures and delivery of training
  • Lead, Guide and coach the team
  • Build and sustain SQEP in the team
  • Lead or support corporately the development and improvement in planning and scheduling approach
  • Develop planning and scheduling policies and procedures
  • Undertake audits and monitors system administration
  • Conducts training needs analysis and development and delivery of training programmes
  • Manages effective deployment of schedulers across the business
  • Provides advice on planning and scheduling requirements
  • Provides expert scheduling advice and guidance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Scheduling-specific knowledge equivalent to a Technical, Engineering or Business Degree and Association for Project Management Professional Qualification/Registered Project Professional (APM PQ/RPP) or other relevant technical qualification
  • Working knowledge of schedule development and maintenance for complex projects with experience shaping and/or influencing policy and strategy, supervisory experience and training delivery.
