SC cleared Safety Engineer (UK Submarines) - Bristol

Our client is recruiting for an SC cleared Safety Engineer to sit within power section of the electrical design authority for in service submarines and be responsible for managing the platform safety aspects of the Electrical DA. This is a contract role starting ASAP until 30 September 2025. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement of 2/3 days onsite in Bristol and the remainder working from home.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Management of all aspects of safety and attendance at meetings, communication of all safety related aspects
• Attending and managing actions to the SEC, HRG and HLHs which are applicable to the electrical DA                                                                  
• Providing data and information into meetings, communication and managing completion of actions
• Attending HAZIDs, managing safety assessments of design changes.
• Providing data and information into meetings, communication and managing completion of actions

EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

• Experience managing safety in an engineering environment
• Experience with UK submarines

DESIRABLE

• Understanding of electrical/electronic systems on UK submarines.
