Our client has a requirement for a Low Voltage (LV) Power Distribution Design Engineer on an initial 6 month contract. Based in Didcot, Oxfordshire the role offers a rate of up to £38.78 per hour. Candidates will be required to design BS7671:2018 compliant low voltage (LV) electrical supply and distribution systems, along with associated technical design documentation.
EXPERIENCE
- Good working knowledge of British and European Standards, including BS7671:2018, 18th edition wiring regulations and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
- Trained and proficient in the use of AutoCAD Electrical and Trimble Pro design software
- Good knowledge of cabling, electrical manufacturing, and installation techniques
- HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
- Broad understanding of electrical engineering
- Proven record of electrical design engineering in a technical project/industrial environment
- Fully conversant with electrical circuit diagrams and 2D drawings
- Computer literate and competent in the use of Microsoft Office
- IET Membership (desirable)
- Experience of working in a scientific research environment (desirable)
