Our client is recruiting for an SC or DV cleared Enterprise Architect who is able to support the definition of the enterprise architecture (in particular related to Business Processes, Functions, Capabilities, Requirements, Goals and Objectives) of a major defence space programme (ISTARI). The role offers a hybrid working arrangement of being onsite in Portsmouth and working from home.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide expert advice and guidance, setting the direction and strategy for definition of the Enterprise Architecture for ISTARI and associated missions.
- Collaboration with mission teams in order to define the enterprise architecture for ISTARI and solution architectures for associated missions.
- Liaison with stakeholders to elicit requirements and business needs.
- Provide guidance and support to the development of mechanisms and strategies to implement “secure-by-design” security principle.
- Development and contribution to artefacts capturing the enterprise architecture, e.g. business model, business processes, organisations, operating model and concepts of operation
- Identification of the skills and competencies required by the Business Processes/Functions across ISTARI, translation of these into Training Requirements and approximate sizing of personnel numbers to establish a range of levels of capability.
- Development of personnel to increase fluency of EA and MBSE throughout the programme.
EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
- Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Enterprise and solution architectures with TOGAF or NAF.
- Experience developing and implementing Model-based Systems Engineering methodologies.
- Experience of developing architectures and/or systems engineering within the Space Industry.
- Experience of developing a target operating model, business processes and organisational design for major new capability.
- Experience of using Sparx Enterprise Architect.
- Experience of building architectures across all layers in Archimate 3.1.
- Experience of linking technical architectures with programme and project artefacts.
DESIRABLE
- Experience of using JavaScript, especially within the Sparx EA environment to develop custom scripts.
- Confident communicator; ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders within MOD and industry.
- Active contributor to workshops, meetings and discussions.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to leverage external expertise; via MOD, supply chain and/or own company reachback.
- Ability to disseminate results and exchange knowledge.
- TOGAF certified.
- Archimate certified.
